Lucky for me this unit was still available April 1st at Discounter's Pool. I didn't want to spend 2+ hours cleaning after a long winter. All I did to prep the pool is take off the safety cover, skimmed any large debris that would cause a speed bump and let this robot do its thing!
I took a video and will try to get it uploaded if possible of the robot in action and to show the amount of stuff it was going to suck up, but I have to say it functioned as described. It took a few hard turns at first (and maybe circled a few times) but after 2hours it had my flat bottom 12 x 24 4.5foot inground fiberglass pool all clean! the stainless screen inside caught all the little stuff too!
Very easy to setup (comes assembled), charged overnight (recommended 5-6hours) then adjusted the Tubes for the water to direct the robot in an arc/angle. I installed the side bumpers just to be sure it turned when running along the walls and not get pined along the wall (just me being overboard).
As a bonus Hayward is offering a $50 rebate on their website if submitted by Oct 2022. I check the model number and its eligible for the rebate, but the website E-form does not have this model RCH200CU in the drop-down list. So I called Customer Service who was very helpful troubleshooting the problem but had to forward my call to Tech Support at Hayward so they are going to fix the site.
Looking forward to enjoying the pool instead of spending hours vacuuming. With the 1 year warranty and an extra 90 day warranty from Hayward when you register the serial number online, I don't have to worry about it for this season.
